Laboratory

Laboratory and its details

Creating a laboratory, billing details, contacts, addresses, several laboratories.

Without a laboratory you cannot register for a program. The laboratory details are the basis for the invoice, sample shipping and the certificate, so check them before your first registration.

Creating a laboratory

  1. In My laboratories click New laboratory (after signing up the form opens by itself).
  2. Enter the laboratory name exactly as it should appear on the certificate of participation. The laboratory gets a permanent registration number such as LAB-0042, shown in the list and in the left panel.
  3. Contact person, e-mail and phone: the contact e-mail is mandatory; registration confirmations, reminders and document notifications go there.
  4. Billing address (customer): company, optionally branch, company ID, VAT ID, street, city, postcode and country. You can also add an e-mail for invoice delivery and bank details. The invoice is issued from these details without further questions.
  5. The laboratory address is used as the address for sample delivery. If samples should go elsewhere, fill in the delivery address as well.
  6. Save with Save.
The laboratory's country determines the e-mail language and whether customs and sample pick-up apply to you (laboratories outside the EU). See Sample transport.

Editing details

In My laboratories click Edit next to the laboratory. A new registration always takes the current address. Billing details are frozen at the moment an invoice is issued, so a later change applies to the next invoice.

A permanent billing note (for example a purchase order requirement) is stored with the laboratory and the organiser sees it with every registration.

Several laboratories

One account can have any number of laboratories. The active laboratory (block at the top left) is the one that registers. For another laboratory of the same company use Duplicate: billing details are copied and you only add the name and contacts.

A laboratory with no registration history can be deleted with Delete. A laboratory that has ever been registered for a program cannot be deleted. If you created the same laboratory twice by mistake, write to the organiser and they will merge them.
